What is the Netstep Basics?
Problem
I have two sites, Site A and B, both residing on my company network. I would like to reach both of these sites externally or from the internet.
I have configured the internet router to forward inbound traffic (TCP port 30011) to Site Master A.
I would like to know why I am only able to reach Site A, even though I have selected to use the Capture Station Gateway option in the Enterprise manager
Solution
Netstep by default only allows for routing to units within the same site.
You need to go configure netstep by renaming the /usr/nvr/netstep.ini.example file to /usr/nvr/netstep.ini, in order for the routing to be allowed to others sites.
