Where do I use Analytics and what analytics are available in Cathexis?
Answer
Below are the features provided, and use them accordingly.
Basic VMD - Indoor basic motion where false triggers are not an issue. Very good for all conditions, but with false positives in noisy environments.
SMART VMD - Efficient algorithm for outdoor usage where repetitive motion like wind/trees etc can be ignored. Very good for outdoor usage where smaller objects can still be detected.
Motion recordings - Easy setup with preconfigured indoor and two outdoor scene selection profiles. You can also enable flare and noise suppression.
Great for indoor usage where lights are being switched off/on, etc. Does not work so good where tiny objects need to be detected.
Basic Analytics - Provided background models to ignore background noise like flares, repetitive motion, shadows, and object calibration. Provides limited triggering options (basic line and presence detection)
Intermediate Analytics - Has what Basic provides with added triggers options like advanced line area triggers. For example, objects needs to be preset for 1 second in the area before it triggers, etc, or objects need to move through an area, etc.
Advanced Analytics - Provided speed triggers, and additional filter options to the triggers. Example would be size filter, speed, direction of moving object, excluding spiders, speed filters for flying insects and rain. It also has the ability to filter on AI triggers if enabled in the setup.
