Is the CathexisVision software backwards compatible?
Answer
Yes, you can use a client connection with later software to access older sites and servers.
Some newly added features will not be accessible or configurable from the later client software.
Please discuss this with the support team if you plan to run a mixed environment or access remote sites from a control room environment, where clients are loaded with the latest version. Some functional (archiving, reviewing) limitations could be imposed by older releases of server software.
