How can the NetBSD server time be updated?


Answer

NetBSD server time update can be done in the following ways:


Via CatPro

  • 1. Log into CatPro with the administrator account, typically dvs.
  • 2. Click on the screwdriver and spanner on the top right
  • 3. Setup
  • 4. Time/Date
  • 5. Adjust to match and click OK. If the page/options are greyed out try the second method below.
  • 6. The unit should reboot with the new time.


Via Terminal

  • 1. One the system is booted press Ctrl + Alt + F2
  • 2. Login as root / athens
  • 3. Use the command "date YYYYMMDDHHMM.SS", for example "date 202211090900.05" where:

YYYY - Year

MM - Month

DD - Day

HH - Hour

MM - Minute

SS - Seconds


  • 4. The system should reboot automatically after a few seconds, if not run the command "reboot".
