How can i enable the audio from an IP camera through Cathexis to be recorded or heard live?


Answer


The Cathexis software will need to be configured to detect the audio device belonging to the IP camera when it is initially setup.


Once the audio device is linked to a stream it can be used for live streaming the audio directly from the Cathexis interface or played back from recorded footage.


In the setup menu while editing a camera amend the existing live or recording streams which will display the audio option that belong to the camera as per the below screen shot (ensure the hardware has audio capability or this audio option will not be visible on the camera)

To play the live audio from a camera while viewing live,simply look at the top right corner for an audio button to enable the audio as per the screen shot below:
